How We Verify

State lending rules change, so each state page records where its facts come from and when they were last checked.

  1. We start from consumer-protection and legislative sources (e.g. the Consumer Federation of America’s payday loan information and state statute trackers).
  2. Each fact stores a source URL and a last verified date.
  3. Pages awaiting a second independent source are marked “pending second-source verification” until confirmed.

Current coverage: 51 states documented, 0 independently re-verified. We are expanding coverage to all 50 states.

Nothing here is legal or financial advice. For binding rules, consult your state regulator.
